A company school watercolour painting

The painting by an unknown Indian artists in the style known as ‘Company School’ (produced for the English officers of the Honourable East India Company) depicting two men, holding variously a flag and fan, and a flag and a rosary. Inscribed in sepia to the reverse in Hindi and English “Apa oola or a (illegible) the Tribe of Malabar Brahmins”
