The lamp for use on an altar is lavishly decorated in contrasting metal with rows of kirrtimukha or the face of glory interspersed with flower forms and swags of tasselled ‘pearls’ to the upper and lower sections; the central bulbous stem with lotus petals with lotus petals above and below is again decorated with foliate forms and tasselled swags of pearls.
